You Always Remember The First Time

By Christopher Marsala Remember that last blog post that I wrote about saying “F**k it” and being more self-centered? Well, funny story: a day after I wrote that, I met someone—an Italian/Filipino “male” someone, to be specific—for coffee at a café by Il Duomo, one of Florence’s most prominent cultural, religious, and visual sites. The night before we met, I had just uploaded photos from a weekend trip to Barcelona (if you ever get the chance, PLEASE go there—such a spicy city!). In my notifications, he “Liked” nine of them. Halloween Goodies Made With A Ghostly Budget

by David Cruz III Every year I scour the Internet and spend hours on Pinterest seeking out new and fun ideas for my annual Halloween Party. I always start with the same ambitions of being a super cool “Martha Stewart Robot” and then end quickly realize I am a working professional with zero time in my life to do anything. But hosting a less than impressive Halloween party is not an option. So this year, I saved myself (and you) the anxiety and found a bunch of cute ideas that require almost no time commitment. Remember, Halloween is one of those holidays that people almost never really eat at, so don’t feel pressured to put out a spread. (save that for Thanksgiving) It’s all about cute treats

Halloween Traditions with Chris & Taylor

This time last year... Taylor and I decided to celebrate Halloween by making chili and watching old Vincent Price thrillers. I'm a sucker for traditions, the holidays, and food, so obviously I looked up the recipe and we cooked and ate the most perfect chili I've ever had. We decided to make the "big batch" recipe so we could pack it for lunches and have leftovers during our busy work week. If you're looking to lay low this Halloween, do yourself a favor and whip up this glorious fall meal. Crack open a beer, throw on comfortable clothes and pull up some cult-classic horror films. It's the ultimate treat-yo-self Halloween treat! What you'll need... 4 lbs ground chuck 2 medium onions, chopped

#AskDavid.... Dating Advice from David Cruz

Happy October Everyone! As we begin to change seasons and focus on the end of the year (yes... its almost over.) Many of us are heading back to the drawing boards to figure out why we are still single at the end of a fabulous Summer. Here are a few of your many questions and my #CupidAdvice on how to get back on track! From the web: I'm 27 years old and I've never been in a relationship. If I go on a date with a girl and she asks me about my previous relationships and I tell her that I never been in one, is it any girls deal breaker and if so, is there hope for me to pursue a relationship as I get older? -Late Bloomer Going on dates, or "dating" to many people feels like going to the gym. A Radical Reconfiguration of Self-Love

By Chris Marsala Just last week, I realized that I’m already over a month into my Italian study-abroad experience. One month. Oh. My. GOD! Usually I would be freaking out—and trust me, I’ve had many a FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) moment—but the truth is that I’ve already done a lot of things on my study-abroad checklist: see Michelangelo’s David, buy an authentic Italian leather jacket, eat gelato/pizza/pasta/insert yummy Italian dish here. I’ve also checked off some killer travel spots: secret gem Giglio Island in Maremma, Tuscany; the sun-and-beach-filled Amalfi Coast, and this past weekend colorful Barcelona, Spain. As you can imagine, there’s still one BIG item on that checklist: falling i

DATE NIGHT ALERT: Nicholas Sparks is BACK!

by David Cruz Well call me crazy, but it has been a hot second since we here at Finding Cupid felt like we could trust Nicholas Sparks to deliver a good old love story again. I mean, the man gave us "The Notebook" - but honestly there hasn't been a solid hit that we have loved since then. Sure he gave us "A Walk To Remember" and "Nights in Rodanthe" but I just can't forgive him for "The Lucky One" and "Safe Haven" and "Dear John." I don't care how many Hollywood Hotties you put in them. But here we are... a new trailer, a new soundtrack (the first single from Lady Antebellum) and a very promising cast which includes a scruffy James Marsden (also from The Notebook.) All signs ar pointing to y

Have you ever wondered if other people in the world had the same opinions about love as you did? Well, here at Finding Cupid we wondered the same thing too and came up with one heck of way to find out. Introducing Danny Jennings, a young gay man from the UK who is a fabulous Youtuber. For Danny's first mission, we wondered what the people in the UK felt about dating and age. Does it make a difference? Do young people have a different view from older people when it comes to love?
