A New Years Wish To All My Readers

Im waking up this morning with as much anticipation of the new year as everyone else has. I always get so jealous when I see how Australia and Guam are already ringining in the New Year on the other side ofthe globe, just as I am making my first cup of coffee. I wonder, what resolutions did they make. Who's happy that 2014 is over with and who is simply thanking all the powers that be for a wonderful year. To me, the ringing in of the "New Year" signifies rebirth, a clean slate and a cleansing of old to allow new in anyones life. Resolutions aside, this is all of our opportunity to do things better. So, even if your single, didn't make enough money or things simply didn't go your way on 2014

New Music Review: Who's Winning & Losing Our Hearts!

By David Cruz It's about this time of year when all the "Love Songs" start making their way into our radios, just in time for Spring Weddings and Valentine's Day. There have been a few we love and a few that just don't make the cut. Here are some of the latest! Which one do you love? 1. Ed Sheeran "Thinking Out Loud" Score: 4 Hearts I rank this song high for the lyrics, but the video is a bit awkward. Don't get me wrong, I love me some Ed Sheeran, but this video reminds me of a really bad audition for "Dancing With The Stars"... I forgive you Ed. (this time) 2. One Direction "Night Changes" Score: 3 Hearts Im always torn with 1D because they have such great ballads, but sometimes I just wan

Letter From The Editor, Celebrate Your Relationships This Holiday!

By David Cruz For as long as I can remember, Christmas has always been very special to me. It’s a time that family and friends come together to support, love and shower each other with food and gifts. We reconnect over cooking, classic holiday music and a few swigs of spiked eggnog. The season brings better moods to everyone. It’s the one time of year that people proudly wear reindeer antlers, Santa hats and ugly sweaters as if they were medals of honor. I appreciate that sense of humor as sometimes life just needs a little laughter. Weather your celebrate Christmas, Hannukah Kwanza or Boxing Day, the holidays are the universal green light for you to celebrate all that is good and happy in

You Can Find Me In The Kitchen : Making Holiday Memories

By Deanne Cruz Southern California is finally getting some cold weather and I am loving every minute of it. This is the time of year when all of my senses get pampered. Diets fade and comfort food is the norm. YES, YES, YES! The other day, out of curiosity, I looked up the definition of comfort food. (As I like to think everything I make is comforting.) "According to Wikipedia, comfort food is a traditionally eaten food which provides nostalgic or sentimental feeling to the person eating it, frequently with a high carbohydrate level and simple preparation." Well I’ll be damned! This is why I love it so much! There is something so special when you pair cooler temperatures with mac and che

By Jenny Blumenthal It’s that time of year again, the infamous Holiday Season! A season of holiday parties, intimate get-togethers, decorating your home festively while enjoying a nice bottle of wine or a hot toddy, and most importantly…the exchange of gifts amongst the ones who hold a special place in your heart. The holidays (and much of the fall and winter months in general) are actually known to some people as “Cuffing Season”, explained in depth by Urban Dictionary as the time of year when people are more inclined to be tied down during colder weather and typically engage in “prolonged indoor activity” making it more desirable to start a new relationship than it might be in the Spring a
